The Marmalade Manual contains all I’ve ever wanted to know about Marmalade. During the 1990’s I developed skills in Marmalade by completing two Women’s Institutes’ Certificates; Preservation of Fruit & Vegetables and Judging Preserves, in Shrewsbury, over a period of three years.In 2008, I won the Best of the Best and the Seville Orange Marmalade categories at the Marmalade Awards in Penrith.
At Cookery Schools and online, I have taught many preservers, including Gold Award winners at the Marmalade Awards in UK, Japan and Australia.
In 2011, I self-published First Preserves, a detailed guide to making Marmalade, Jam and Chutney.
The Marmalade Manual is the culmination of my years of experience making, teaching and judging Marmalade.
